Food Twin uses satellite imagery, survey data, data on physical infrastructure and statistical crop models, to map production, transport and consumption of plant based food products in the USA. We stress test how fragile local consumers are to extreme weather events like drought and heat stress, which are set to become more frequent and of higher magnitude with climate change.
