Early during COVID-19, we were asked what the impact of mobility restrictions would be on agricultural productivity. We couldn't answer that question definitively, and one reason was because we didn't have good maps of where the agricultural workforce is globally. Using machine learning we are now filling that data gap. The utility of these data goes beyond infectious diseases, to risk associated with climate change and other spatially contextualized workforce disruptions globally.
